Caption
This is the primary flow gate that is buried under the dike. It appears this trunk has been damaged since it is missing the flapper unit. –Description from photographer, David Soliday.
Description
A digital scan of a photograph depicting the exposed flow gate of a rice trunk. A puddle of rippled water occupies the foreground, followed by muddy soil. The rice trunk, which is in the middle of the image, consists of four horizontal logs atop a rectangular tunnel. A bridge above the flow gate is obscured by dry, grassy vegetation and a few taller trees. Some of the drier tree trunks on these taller trees in the background appear white in the sunlight.
