ACE Basin Area. –Description from photographer, David Soliday.
Description
A digital aerial photograph of rice fields in the ACE Basin, South Carolina. The grasses in the bottom of the image appear grey with patches of green. Vestigial canals create a green grid in this landscape, while a horizontal canal and a narrow levee with a strip of trees separate these drier fields from the greener ones above. Much of the rest of the photograph consists of a flooded field, with green patches of grasses interspersed in the deep blue of the surrounding water. A remnant canal can be seen in the top left of the photograph.
