- Description
- A digital scan of an aerial photograph taken along a section of the lower Combahee River. The lower two-thirds of the photograph features green, grassy remnant rice fields with vestigial canals and “quarter ditches.” Two of these canals run perpendicular to each other. Toward the top of the image, the Combahee can be seen in a deep meander. A narrow strip of trees follows the river’s flow on either riverbank.
