Description
A digital aerial photograph of remnant rice fields near White Hall, South Carolina. The bottom two-thirds of the image features flooded fields that appear deep green against the blueish-black water flowing through the vestigial canals. Closer to the top of the photograph, the remnant canals create a hexagonal shape in the landscape. Much of the grass within its perimeters appear yellow in contrast to the green in other parts of the field.
