- Description
- A digital aerial photograph of remnant rice fields along a section of the Ashepoo River. A small section of the Ashepoo’s main channel can be seen in the image’s bottom right corner. The adjacent fields, which occupy most of the image, appear greenish brown. A canal flows in a straight line from a tributary at the top of the image to the Ashepoo’s main channel. Secondary canals branch off from this main canal into the fields, creating irregular patterns in the landscape. In the top left and right corners, patches of taller vegetation are visible. There is also an adjacent field in the top right corner that has retained many of its “quarter ditches.”
