- Description
- A digital aerial photograph of remnant rice fields along a section of the South Edisto River in South Carolina. The river can be seen meandering from the image’s top right to the bottom left edge. Its waters appear sea blue in contrast to the green and brown fields through which it flows. Toward the bottom right, it flows by Prospect Hill Island just before it flows by Oakhurst Island seen in the bottom left. The “quarter ditches” on Prospect Hill Island are noticeably more intact than the ones in other fields.
