- Newspaper clipping entitled, [A Decatur County Farmer Replies]. The introduction of the clipping refers to a satirical poem that was put into circulation by the Republican Party in reference to an upcoming Presidential election. The brief introduction states that a response poem written by a Decatur County farmer. Both the Republican Party poem, [The Poem] and the response poem, [The Answer], are published below the introduction. The Republican Party poem is political negative campaigning against Democratic Presidential Candidate Alfred Smith.The response poem was written by an individual with an affiliation to the Ku Klux Klan and is political negative campaigning against Republican President Calvin Coolidge and Republican Presdiential Candidate Herbert Hoover. On the verso are two brief articles: [Decatur County Boys and Girls to Show Livestock at St. Joe in October] and [Long Creek Farmer Has Prize Pig Crop]. Newspaper title and author are unidentified.
