- Description
- A Ku Klux Klan ledger used by the Ku Klux Klan Number 142, Realm of New York, Women of the Ku Klux Klan. The ledger has a blank, black cloth binding with white endpapers. At the top of each ledger page, printed in black ink is the text: [Form 104–1M–12–27–J.F.H. Co. 192_ / Klabee’s account with ____________________ Klan No.___, Realm of ________ / WOMEN OF THE KU KLUX KLAN / ______Quarter, 192_ ________________ / KLABEE.] Below the ledger header are a series of columns to record the following information: [DATE / 192_], [NAME OF KLIGRAPP], [No. of / Receipt], [Gen’l / Fund], Special / Fund], [Total], and under the column [ORDERS PAID] are five sub-columns, [192_ / Date], [No.], [Klan / Dues], [Special / Funds], and [Total]. The columns are delineated in red and blue ink.
