A handwritten letter by James Brown on wide-ruled notebook paper, pulled from a pad of paper (from the top). Blue ink and double-spaced writing. Reads [To/Whom it May concern I'm, A/very sick Man and My wife/Deidre is my Only hope so please/Let her in my Box and get what/paper or money she needs Thank/you For your kindess and May God/bless you And your Family here/is My Father he can't write/his name but he can print/And here is My Two little/children you can see That They/Are Mine/James/Brown/My/Signature]. On the reverse, center right, handwritten in same blue ink, reads [1706-1708] outlined, with [Hilton] and [912/746-1461] underneath.
