- Description
- A glass and cast iron kerosene lamp. The base and connector are cast iron, designed with egg and dart ovals. The base and connector taper towards a glass font. The font is a round, squat clear glass, with repeating vertical lines around its bottom half. The font is the oil reservoir burner for a flat wick, however, the wick is now gone. At the top of the glass font is the cast iron collar and burner, with four prongs sticking up in the cardinal directions. A knob is on one of the sides. The lamp is missing a lamp chimney and shade. These would have connected to the iron collar and burner at the top. There is an engraving of letters underneath the base that is difficult to read.
