- This is a color poster depicting an artistic rendering of Dorie Miller, center, from the chest up, wearing a white sailor's cap, collared white shirt, with blue tie. He has a Navy Cross medal hanging on his left side of his chest. In the right background, multiple ships with smoke coming off of them can be seen in the distance. Above the depiction of Dorie Miller is text that reads ["above and beyond the call of duty"] in off-white type. The artist's signature is in black ink, on the right side, right above the figure's right shoulder, reading [David / Stone / Martin].
