Description
A tintype portrait of four unidentified men captured at the Lincoln Street fair in Denver, Colorado, by photographer John Green. The men are posed with two men seated in front and two men standing behind them. The two seated men wear three-piece suits. The man on the right rests his left ankle on his right knee and has a light colored tie against his folded-collar shirt. The seated man on the left crosses his legs at the knee and folds his hands in his lap. He wears a light colored shirt with a high collar and bow tie. The man standing directly behind him (on the left) also has a shirt with a high collar. He wears a tie and a three-piece suit. The man standing next to him (on the right) wears a suit, light shirt and bow tie. All four men wear brimmed hats and have cigars in their mouths. Behind them is a doorway with a lunette over it. The tintype is attached to a faded, rectangular blue paper card with a pink backing. The oval image window is bordered by a thick red line next to a dotted red line and thin outer line. The outer edge of the card is bordered by a thin red line with decorative knots designs in the corners. The back of the card is pink and there is a handwritten inscription that reads [Lincoln Street Fair / Sept. 21, 1899]. There is also a red sticker on the back.
