- A black-and-white photograph of an unidentified man photographed at the Ball & Sons studio in Seattle, Washington. The photo is mounted on light-colored pasteboard stamped with the Ball & Sons logo and store location on the bottom of the front side. The man is dressed in a dark suit and a bowtie. He holds a bowler hat at his side in his left hand and his right hand rests on the back of a chair partly in the frame. In the right foreground of the frame is a small table with a stack of books. The reverse is blank.
