Description
A black-and-white photographic postcard titled, “M91 A round up crew ready to ‘set out’.” by Charles E. Morris. The photograph, taken in Chinook, Montana, depicts a group of eleven men mounted on horseback, and seated in horse carts, in front of a large group of horses. Red text print at the top left edge reads [M 91 A round up crew ready to “set out”.]. Seven of the men are depicted in the foreground. They are standing in a line, on horseback, facing the viewer. The men are all wearing brimmed hats and western wear. The two on the far left have coils of rope attached to their saddles. The cowboys and horses are standing on a grassy plane with low hills and white clouds in the background. The reverse is white with black printed text. It reads [POST CARD.] across the top center. There is a short vertical line down the center dividing the card in one section on the left titled [Message] and [Address], with lines below, on the right. In the top right corner is a stamp box with black text that reads [Place Stamp here / DOMESTIC / 1 c / FOREIGN / 2 c]. Down the left edge of the postcard is black text that reads [Photo by Chas. E. Morris, Chinook, Mont. Made in Germany.].
