Description
A sepia toned photographic postcard of five men posing with cigars and handguns. The five men are positioned in a semicircle in various kneeling, seated, and reclining positions. The man on the far left is in a vertical kneeling position in a three-quarters pose. He holds his proper right hand at his side, holding an item in his hand. His proper left hand is resting on his waist and there is a cigarette held between his middle and index fingers. He is wearing a dark suit, white shirt, medium-toned tie, a brimmed hat, and a gun in a holster attached to an ammunition cartridge belt at his waist. The man next to him is seated cross-legged on the floor. He wear a dark suit, white shirt, bowtie, and a Stetson hat. His hair has a wide part down the middle, he holds a cigar between his lips, and he is looking at the viewer. His hands grip the front of his proper right shin. The man at the center of the image is depicted reclining on his proper right side on the floor. He is leaning on his proper right elbow and his proper right leg, which is drawn in. His proper left leg is bent upright and he holds a pistol in his proper left hand. He is looking at the viewer, smiling, and has a cigar dangling from the side of his mouth. The man second from the right is also in a vertical kneeling position. He is slightly turned and looking down at the reclining man. He is wearing leather chaps, a white shirt and vest, a kerchief at his throat, and a dark-toned flat cap. His proper right hand is resting on the grip of his holstered gun attached to his ammunition cartridge belt. The man on the far right is in a sitting kneeling position. He is wearing a dark suit, white sweater, a short tie, a hat with the brim turned up, and he holds a pistol in his proper right hand. His proper left hand is in his trousers pocket and he has a cigar between his lips. The background is a swaths of light-toned, floral brocade fabric with edge tassels. The reverse is white with black ink text. The text [POST CARD] is written in outlined letters across the top. Below are sections for [CORRESPONDENCE HERE] on the left, and [NAME AND ADDRESS HERE] on the right divided by a short vertical line down the center. At the top right is an AZO stamp box. The postcard is blank.
