Description
A poster for an Aretha Franklin performance at Knoxville Civic Coliseum on Friday, September 27, 1968. The poster is printed on a white background, with the event details at the top in black text: [KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM / FRI. SEPT. 27 8:30 P.M. / ADMISSION $3.50 - $4.50 - $5.50 / Tickets on Sale at the BOX OFFICE - TUCKER'S MUSIC ON THE MALL]. In the center of the flyer is a section outlined in red with graphics of stars with a cut-out black-and-white reprinted photographic portrait Aretha Franklin, depicted from the shoulders up with her hair in a straight, shoulder-length style with bangs. To the right side is a large red circle with [Aretha FRANKLIN] printed in large yellow graphic text. Titles of her songs are printed throughout the center of the flyer ["NATURAL WOMAN" / "BABY, BABY, BABY" / "CHAIN OF FOOLS" / "RESPECT" "PROVE IT" / "TAKE A LOOK" / "THINK"]. The back of the poster had been repurposed at some point, with [YARD / SALE / 8:00 AM / SAT.] crudely painted in large black lettering.
