- Description
- Black and white photograph of the St. Augustine High School marching band standing in formation next to a large brick building. Standing in rows, holding their instruments, each band member wears a uniform of dark trousers, light colored jackets with decorative braid, and peaked caps, also decorated with braid. In the front are two young men carrying flags, one of which is an American flag, the other possibly the Louisiana state flag. In front of them is the drum major, wearing an all-white uniform with a half-length cape and a tall plumed hat. On the verso are two handwritten notes "1A59J4B" and "Band-3." There is also a stamp with a handwritten number "The negative of this photograph is filed/ at the studio and one or more pictures may/ be had now or at any time in the future.
