Description
This letter (.1) and envelope (.2) are correspondence written by Nelson Jordan, from Farmville, Virginia, to his daughter Julia Womack of Pasadena, California. The letter is in regards to a bank draft and notice that it will be arriving every ninety days in the future. The letter is written on ruled paper. On the verso, written upside down, is a partial draft of another letter written by an unknown person. Doodles and mathematical calculations are written on the bottom half of the verso. Two large blue circles are written on the recto over the salutation and first lines of the letter. The envelope has a preprinted return address for Reverend Nelson Jordan of Shilo Baptist Church in the upper left recto corner. Two one-cent green postage stamps are adhered in the recto upper right corner with a post office stamp to the left. A second post office stamp is on the verso center bottom.
