- Description
- Ivory silk faille crinoline worn by Florance Colgate Rumbough Trevor as part of her wedding ensemble. The crinoline is attributed to Ann Lowe and was likely custom made by Lowe for use under the wedding dress 2014.73.1.1. It is made from ivory silk faille backed in synthetic buckram. The fabric is cut to form a half circle when laid flat and it closes at the center back with two (2) metal snaps and one (1) metal hook-and-eye. The bottom is further lined in plastic buckram. There are ruffles made from synthetic buckram sewn at each proper side on the bottom interior half of the crinoline to create further side support and fullness. Self-fabric hanger loops are sewn at each side waist. There are no labels.
