Description
A sepia toned photograph of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company in Atlanta, Georgia. The photograph is of four women and one man. On the left side of the photograph, two women are seated at desks with typewriters. The woman on the far left is wearing a dark and light stripped jacket over the white shirt and is writing in a ledger. The woman seated at the desk behind her is wearing a light toned, short sleeve blouse with a small bow at the front of the neckline. Behind her are two set of filing cabinets. The women are seated within a large, wooden counter. Standing just behind the counter in the center of the photograph is a woman wearing a dark jacket and white collared shirt, writing in a ledger that has been placed on the counter. On the right of the photograph is a man and a woman behind another counter. The man, who is wearing a dark suit, is handing a piece of paper to a woman in a dark blouse who is seated. The woman is partially obstructed by the central figure in the photograph. The walls of the office are white and there is a barred teller’s window to the far right. Also visible are five ceiling lights and checkered tile flooring. Handwritten notes on the back in blue ink, red ink and pencil identifies the location, numbers the image and labels a drawing of two rectangles.
