- Description
- A black and white photograph of shoppers in the interior of Randy's Record Mart in Kingston, Jamaica.
- The image depicts the counter of the record shop, with shelves and racks of records on the wall behind the counter and customers in front of the counter. On the right side of the image, three employees behind the counter help a group of several customers in front of the counter. One customer leans on the counter, looking at the records on the wall, while the customer closest to the camera rests their hands on the counter, while turning to address other customers. The employee closest to the camera holds his proper left hand out towards the customers. On the left side of the image, a woman stands at the cash register, sitting on the counter behind a metal screen. A fan sits next to the register. She looks straight at the camera. On the verso is an inscription by Bill Adler with the subject, location and date.
