Description
A black and white photograph of Kid 'n Play with their DJ, Wiz, outside the stage entrance door of the Apollo Theatre before a taping of "Showtime at the Apollo."
The three are pictured in front of a brick wall with a metal door in the center. A sign on the door reads [APOLLO THEATRE / STAGE / ENTRANCE].
Kid is on the proper right side of the image. He is wearing a dark track suit over a white t-shirt. He has tall hi-top fade. He is pointing up with his proper right hand. In his left hand he is holding a can of soda with with a cherry on the can wrapped in a white towel. Play is is in the center of the image, pointing at the door with his proper right thumb. He is wearing a v-neck cardigan with striped plackets and a crest on the chest over a dark colored turtleneck and a necklace. DJ Wiz is on the proper right side of the image and is also pointing at the door with his right thumb. He is wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt with [MARTHA'S VINEYARD] printed across the chest. There is a black bag on his proper left shoulder.
On the back of the print, two inscriptions by Bill Adler identify the subject, location, date, and photographer.
