- American long-distance runner Ted Corbitt joined the New York Pioneer Club, the nation's first integrated running organization, in 1947. Corbitt was a marathon champion and a pioneer of ultramarathons in the United States. He was among the first five athletes inducted into the National Distance Running Hall of Fame in Utica, N.Y., in 1998.

- The sleeveless shirt is off white. It is a racerback tank top with thins straps. There are black fleece sans serif letters across the front. They read [NYPC]. There is a white tag sewn into the interior of the neckline. It has black designs and red text which reads [MR. OTIS (R) / SIZE 40]. There is a brown stain on the back of the shirt.
