- Description
- A white men's tuxedo shirt (a) worn as part of a US Marine Corps mess uniform by Jesse E. Wrice Jr. as lieutenant colonel with two cuff links (b,c). The shirt has a mandarin collar and the bib and cuffs have a diapered woven design. The shirt buttons at the center front with seven (7) buttons, four of which are round white plastic and three of which are gold metal tuxedo buttons. The cuffs are fastened with one (1) gold metal cuff link each (b,c). There are two (2) manufacturer's labels sewn at the interior center back neck. The top label is white with black text reading "AMERICA'S FINEST / OFFICERS' / PERMANENT PRESS / 65% DACROX POLYESTER - 35% COMBED COTTON / MACHINE WASH MEDIUM - USE NO BLEACH. / TUMBLE DRY MEDIUM - REMOVE IMMEDIATELY / MADE IN THE U.S.A.". The bottom label is white with red type that reads "OFFICERS EQUIPMENT COMPANY / GARMENT MFGO. OF / U.S.M.C. APPROVED / MATERIALS FOR STYLE.DESIGN AND QUALITY / TO LIKE ITEM APPROVED / BY U.S.M.C SERIAL 967", with a gold embroidered US Marine Corps insignia on the proper left side. The text "15 1/2 32" is stamped in black ink at the interior center back collar.
