- Description
- This is a bronze statue made by Elizabeth Catlett for The Links, Incorporated. The piece is of a woman figure with arms uplifted and fabric covering her body, standing on a bronze circular base, which is adhered to a wooden base that slopes forward in the front, with a piece of green felt on the bottom. The figure is topless and the representation of fabric is seen through the collection of horizontal lines, as if the fabric is draped from the figure's waist to her feet. The figure is looking up towards her hand and her facial features are very stylized and abstract. The initials "EC" is etched into the bronze circular base of the statue. There is a brass plate to be attached to the base.
