Description
This is a rectangular off-white paper certificate of sale between H.S. Trowbridge and J.& P. N. Hanna.
Obverse: The certificate is dated "Febru 16 1875" in the top right corner. The central printed text reads "Bought of J. & P.N. Hanna/ Importers of/ Woodberry Cotton Duck, Flax Canvas, Ravens etc./ All Widths of Cotton Canvas/ Grain [illegible] Wool Bags, Flax Fleece & Cotto Twines, Roofing, Sheathing & Boiler Felt./ Nos. 308 & 310 Davis Street/ Lith. G.T. Brown & Co.S.F." There is a stamp in blue ink running verticley along the left hand margin that reads "Egarton, Allen & Co./ Feb 17 1875/ San Francisco."
Reverse: The back is blank.
