- This slide is part of a collection of 35mm slides encapsulating Robert Houston's full portfolio of images related to the Poor People's Campaign and the antipoverty protest camp on the National Mall. Known as "Resurrection City," the camp lasted for six weeks in the spring of 1968.
- Description
- This black and white photographic print depicts Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a podium. Shown in profile, he faces the wooden podium looking straight ahead. Two microphones are mounted on top of the podium, one at each side. He wears a light grey pin stripe suit and dark tie. The background of the photograph is dark. There are no inscriptions, front or back.
