- Description
- A 16mm motion picture film with a clip of The Benny Goodman Orchestra performing "Sing, Sing, Sing" on the musical comedy Hollywood Hotel. It consists of a single reel of positive, black-and-white, 16mm acetate film with bilateral variable-area optical sound. The footage opens with Gene Krupa playing the drum as the camera slowly pans outwards to reveal The Benny Goodman Orchestra performing on a stage. Later in the clip, the camera focuses on specific instrumentalists from the Benny Goodman Quartet: Gene Krupa can be seen playing the drums, Benny Goodman is seen with the clarinet, Lionel Hampton playing the vibraphone and Teddy Wilson on the piano.
