- Description
- Film clips from "The Benny Goodman Show” (part of the Westinghouse Preview Theatre television series). It consists of a single reel of positive, black-and-white, 16mm acetate film with bilateral variable-area optical sound. The footage opens with an announcer stating, "Westinghouse Preview Theatre presents the king of swing, Benny Goodman." The footage then shows fireworks and rides from Disneyland, California. Next, Benny Goodman can be seen on the stage foretelling the show's lineup. The first song they perform is "Ridin' High." The band then plays several other tunes. At various points, audience members can be seen dancing and applauding. At the end of the show, the announcer says, “Benny Goodman saying goodbye from the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland,” before the closing credits role.
