- Though her face is not visible, the faith practitioner pictured here is believed to Mother Consuella York. Rev. York (1923-1995) was an ordained minister with Salem Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. She became known as the “Jail Preacher” during her four decades of prison ministry at the Cook County Jail in Chicago.
