- Description
- A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a woman participating in the March on Washington, August 28, 1963. The woman is depicted on the right side of the image wearing a white collared shirt. She is smiling, facing the viewer, over the arm and shoulder of a person partially depicted in the left foreground. Behind the woman are several participants including one man standing in profile wearing a side cap. On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide publication information, image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also three (3) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
