- Description
- A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a protester and a priest participating in the March on Washington on August 28, 1963. The man on the right of the image is depicted with his back to the viewer, standing with his hands clasped behind his back. He is wearing a tee shirt that has a [FREEDOM / NOW] slogan printed on the back. He is speaking with a priest, who is standing in three-quarters profile on the left side of the image. The priest is wearing a clerical collar and shirt under a black jacket.
- On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide publication information, image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also three (3) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
