- Description
- A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of participants linking hands in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool during the twentieth anniversary of the March on Washington, August 27, 1983. The Reflecting Pool is centrally depicted with participants standing in two (2) human chains across the water. The participants in the chain in the foreground have their arms upraised. The participants in the chain behind them have their arms lowered. The base of the Washington Monument is depicted in the background.
- On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
