Description
A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of two (2) men participating in the twentieth anniversary of the March on Washington, August 27, 1983. The man in the foreground is reclining in the grass on his back supported by his elbows with his proper left knee raised. He depicted in three-quarters profile, shirtless and is wearing dark shorts and white sneakers. The man behind him is kneeling in the grass with his hands resting on the ground. He is depicted facing the viewer, wearing white shorts, a light colored sleeveless shirt, and sunglasses. In the background are several participants sitting in the grass with their backs to the viewer.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
