Description
A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of a woman and a man holding protest signs during the twentieth anniversary of the March on Washington, August 27, 1983. The woman, depicted on the left side of the image, is holding a sign with a graphic of Martin Luther King Jr. above text that reads [SAVE / OUR / CHILDREN]. She is wearing a white tank top decorated with hearts and a straw hat. On the right side of the image is a man in a white t-shirt and dark overalls, holding a sign that reads [KiNG / DiED / FOR / THiS] with two small graphics of Martin Luther King Jr.
On the verso of the image are handwritten inscriptions that provide the image date, event information, location, image number, the name of the printer, and the signature of the donor. There are also two (2) stamp marks in black ink in the bottom right corner of the verso.
