- A black and white image of A. Philip Randolph at the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington.
- Randolph is pictured in the center of the image, seated in a metal folding chair in front of the statue of Lincoln, which is only partially visible behind him. He is wearing a dark suit with a white shirt and dark necktie. There is a round, white and black March on Washington pinback button on his proper left lapel, and a piece of white fabric or paper in his front chest pocket. He holds several papers in each hand. He is looking out and to the right of the image. Other men are partially in frame standing on either side of him.
