- A copy of the Alexandria Daily Gazette, Commercial and Political, Vol. XII, No. 3595, from Saturday, March 14, 1812.These four (4) pages printed on both sides of a bi-folded sheet. The front and back pages are exclusively advertisements. The interior pages contain mostly columns with politically-related subjects, with some advertisements mixed in on the third page far right column. Much of the political content relates to the embargoes and acts of aggression by the British and French contributing to the War of 1812 that began later in the year. Advertisements on page one include a wanted ad "For Hire or Sale / A Female House Servant," "A Likely Mulatto Boy" for hire, and "A Female House-Servant" for sale. Page three has another wanted ad "For Hire / A Female House Servant." The fourth page has an ad for "100 Dollars Reward" for the return of the runaway enslaved man Jerry posted by Richard Stuart.
