- Description
- Women's hat covered in teal, green, pink, and silver metallic woven fabric with a large teal bow and silver rhinestones designed by Mae Reeves. The hat has a relatively high crown and a short rounded asymmetric brim that is longer in the front than at the back. The facing fabric is gathered into pleats on the brim and looser pleats on the sides of the crown. A large teal satin bow is sewn at the center front above the brim with a cluster of silver rhinestones covering the center of the bow and dangling below it onto the brim. The hat is formed from heavy blue canvas to achieve a fixed shape, with the metallic multi-colored fabric sewn on top of it. The interior is additionally lined with navy net lace, with the canvas sandwiched between the facing and lace lining. A white tag with black text is adhered at the interior center back that reads "Mae Reeves / OF / PHILADELPHIA".
