A self-fabric strap near the bottom can be wrapped around to hold it closed, fastening with a metal buckle. The ribs are metal with brown plastic caps on the ends. The top of the parasol, the stem, and the handle are made from turned wood. A small eye hook is attached to the bottom of the handle and at the top where the fabric ends.
