- Description
- Pink turban style hat with jeweled decoration (.1) designed by Mae Reeves with coordinating pink scarf (.2). The hat (.1) is made from a stiff material faced in three shades of pink satin fabric, the darker shades forming the top and upper sides, with a lighter shade on the bottom sides. The fabric is draped and sewn to resemble the folds of a turban. The bottom of the hat is not straight, the sides are longer than the center front and center back. A rhinestone and metal floral design accessory in pink and red is hand sewn to the center front of the hat. The interior is lined with pale peach faille, with a band of red grosgrain ribbon trimming the interior opening. A white fabric label with black printed text is adhered to the interior center back that reads "Mae Reeves / OF / PHILADELPHIA".
- The scarf (.2) is made from a length of dark pink satin. The selvedges form the long sides, with the short sides cut and the fabric unraveled to make short, tight fringe. There are no labels.
