Description
Black velvet purse with gold-colored metal frame and handle from Mae's Millinery Shop. The frame consists of thin vertical strips, five on each side, and a solid bar across the top. The sides hinge open. The interior is lined with red satin and has three (3) small pockets inside. A handwritten note in black ink on white paper is stapled to one of the interior pockets that reads: "Note: 6/6/05 / This handbag / belongs to / Mom (Lula Mae) / It has been in / her Hat Shop Showcase / since the 1960s".
