This image was captured on April 25, 2015, the day of a major peace rally and later uprisings in Baltimore following the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray. Gray died from spinal cord injuries sustained while in police custody.
Description
This black and white image depicts men handling exposed wires. The man in the center of the photograph has his back to the camera and is wearing a black t-shirt. He is holding a metal rod in his left hand and his right arm is raised above his head as he passes exposed wires to the men in front of him. The man directly in front of him also has his back to the camera and is wearing a t-shirt and jeans. In front of him, a man is standing inside of a broken window. He is bending over to pick up a metal object. A person wearing a striped shirt is partially visible in the right corner of the photograph.
