- Description
- A black-and-white photograph of a Laura Fitzpatrick, 16, leaning on a half wall in front of a store or restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. She wears a light blouse and a knee-length skirt while smiling at the camera. A sign in the window behind her is not completely in view, but reads [DAIR- / CAFETE-]. The edges of the photograph are decoratively serrated. The producer of the paper, VELOX, appears on the back. Additionally on verso at bottom left, the number 593 stamped in faded black ink and the number 43 handwritten in pencil at mid upper left. Slip of paper accompanying photograph in album reads [1943 (16yrs. old) / Laura Fitzpatrick / at coffee shop].
