Description
A color digital image of a photograph by Anthony Barboza of a performance by Dance Theatre of Harlem in 1983. The dancers are in front of a painted backdrop of American flag bunting draped in the window of a building. A high wooden bar set piece is in front of the backdrop, with one dancer behind the bar. In the foreground are three (3) couples dancing, with the women dipping their male partners who all hold prop beer mugs. Behind the couples are a row of male dancers, all of whom hold beer mugs up in the air. Another dancer stands on top of the bar holding a mug. The dancers are dressed in western, military, and 1930s street style costumes.
