Description
US Model 1842 Musket, a percussion lock musket with wooden gunstock and metal barrel and furniture. Etched into lock plate is [SPRING / FIELD / 1848]. Gunstock is damaged, possibly from rot, on what would be a right-handed wielder's side of the stock.
