- Description
- A hand-made loom with weaving intact.
- The loom is made out of a wooden fruit crate and popsicle sticks. There are twenty four (24) popsicle sticks attached to a wooden bar at the top of the loom. Each stick has a hole in it with a piece of thread running through it. The bar and popsicle sticks were once moveable and would have been used to push the rows of threads together. There is a blue and tan weaving attached to the loom. The ends of the threads are tied to nails, which are nailed into the top and the base of the loom.
- On the proper left side of the loom there is a black design with a setting sun and text which reads [GROWN AND PACKED / IN / CALIFORNIA / U.S.A.]. There is a stamp which reads [122899]. Several of the popsicle sticks have indented text which reads [U.S.A. popsicle].
- There is black text on the top board of the loom in several different fonts. It reads [California / Golden - Glory / BRAND / Standard NORTHERN / TILTON APRICOTS / Packed By Libby, McNiell & Libby. U.S.A.]. There is a black stamp on the underside of the crate which reads [95 431 / CHARLESTON].
