- Description
- This cast iron cooking pot has three short conical legs on the bottom. It has a swinging handle bent through two small loops attached to the sides of the vessel. It has an opening that flares slightly wider than the base. There is a small metal loop attached to one outside wall of the pot with a metal ring through it. There is an Old Slave Mart Museum number painted on the side in black ink on white background that reads "R468". Cast from a mold, the underside of the pot has a raised "8" and possible "I". There is also a long raised ridge across the bottom of the pot. The bottom edge of the pot has a sharp raised edge around the perimeter.
