- Description
- A brick fragment from Goatfield Plantation, currently known as Brick House Plantation. The fragment is constructed from unfired mudbrick with tiny black rock inclusions. The dark reddish-brown fragment is bell-shaped with two flattened sides, and the surface is roughly textured and pockmarked with air bubbles. The Old Slave Mart Museum catalog number, [R180], is handwritten in black ink over a small rectangular patch of white paint on the bottom, center of one side of the fragment. There are small patches of white on several of the fragment’s surfaces.
