- Description
- A solid style, sand cast, hand molded, partial brick from an unknown architectural structure. The brick is rectangular in shape and its color ranges from reddish brown to grayish brown in color. The brick is missing a significant portion from one header side. One of the brick’s faces is nearly whole, missing only a small portion of one corner. The surface is mostly grayish brown with a small area of surface damage near the other header exposing the dark reddish brown below. The center of one of the brick's faces is covered with a layer of grayish white mortar with tiny rock and shell inclusions. The brick’s other face is missing one header side and a portion of a stretcher side. The remaining brick is dark reddish brown with large white patches of white salt efflorescence. The surface of the face has a rough texture and is covered with pits and cracks. The missing header side has been sheared off in a roughly diagonal direction. The sheared off section is jagged and uneven.
