- A twentieth century brick from the Southern United States. It is a solid style, hand extruded brick. The rectangular brick is dark reddish brown in color with small patches of white salt efflorescence on the surfaces. The Old Slave Mart Museum catalog number, [R157], is handwritten in black ink over a small rectangular patch of white paint in a corner of one of a brick’s faces. There is a large crack running down the center of one stretcher side of the brick and a loss at a corner of the plain face. The other surfaces are plain.
